Pokemon GO: Complete Guide to February 2025 Community Day

Pokemon GO has officially announced the details for February 2025’s Community Day. This month, the event will focus on Karrablast and Shelmet. Read below to see what the event has in store for players.

Event Duration

Event Spawns

During the three-hour event, Karrablast and Shelmet will appear more frequently in the wild. Players will have the opportunity to catch the shiny variation of both Pokemon.

Featured Attacks

Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet during the event or up to February 16, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time to get Pokémon with exclusive Charged Attacks:

🔹 Escavalier (Evolve Karrablast) → Learns Razor Shell

• Trainer Battles: 35 power
• Gyms & Raids: 55 power

🔹 Accelgor (Evolve Shelmet) → Learns Energy Ball

• Trainer Battles: 90 power
• Gyms & Raids: 90 power

Special Research

For $2.00 USD (or local equivalent), players can unlock a Community Day–exclusive Special Research featuring:
✔️ Encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet (with exclusive Dual Destiny–themed backgrounds)
✔️ Additional encounters with both Pokémon
✔️ A Premium Battle Pass
✔️ Rare Candy XL

Special Background Timed Research

Trainers who log in on February 9 will receive Timed Research awarding encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet (one each) with Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds. Completing these tasks increases your chance to find shiny variations of both Karrablast and Shelmet.

Note: The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 10:00 p.m. local time.

Event Bonuses

• 3× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Snapshot surprises
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust.

Field Research

Complete Community Day–themed Field Research by catching Karrablast and Shelmet to earn rewards such as:
✔️ Stardust
✔️ Great Balls
✔️ Extra encounters with the featured Pokemon
✔️ And more!

You may also find special Field Research that grants additional Dual Destiny-themed Karrablast and Shelmet encounters, but the odds are likely low.
